My right hand

Understanding how to crucify our flesh has been somewhat perplexing to me.  I have dwelt in the House of the Lord and find pure peace and rest there. But in the world, how do we maintain that peace?  [Reminds me of Casting Crowns’ Song Between the Altar and the Door]  God always moves in an awesome way and as I was pondering this He spoke to me Sunday about how our flesh should not even be an issue if we are abiding in Him – no matter where we are.  His Word should be so grounded in or souls that the flesh shall never have an opportunity to rise up. But this takes constant examination of our hearts and consistently walking KNOWING Jesus is here.

Psalm 16:7-9 ~ I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

In my words: I will kneel before the Lord and bless Him, for He has advised me and already has a divine plan for my life. All of my emotions and my will instruct and discipline me, for these He has perfected and continues to refine.  Even in night, He is my protective shadow.

When we agree with God in our lives, we are striving to become like Him in all of our thoughts and all of our actions. In doing this, we find joy in our innermost being where we find glory and abundance in Him. In doing all of these things, our flesh will settle down and rest in the security and safety of our Lord.
Jesus shares in our struggles, our pains, our laughter and our joys.  He is the best friend that anyone could ever ask for. He comforts and guides us and is faithful despite any lack we have. I only need remember He is at my right hand and all is well…
